Carlos Reyna | July 11, 1973 – July 2, 2025
With deep love and sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved Carlos Reyna, who left us far too soon on July 2, 2025, just days before his 52nd birthday. A devoted father, cherished brother, and unforgettable friend, Carlos lived each day with purpose, humor, and a heart full of love.
Carlos was one of a kind. A comedian at heart, a passionate sports fan, and a man who could light up any room, he had a unique way of making people feel seen and celebrated. His motto—“Today is going to be a great day!”—was not just something he said; it was how he lived. No matter the circumstances, Carlos chose joy, and he made sure to spread it everywhere he went.
Born on July 11, 1973, Carlos was the son of Elsa and Armando Reyna and proudly called Houston home. He loved life fiercely and was always the first to crack a joke, give a hug, or check in with those he cared about. He remembered birthdays, followed up with friends, and made everyone around him feel like family.
Carlos was a passionate fan of the Houston Texans and Houston Astros, loved his UT Longhorns, and recently came around to support the Aggies in honor of his beloved daughter Charli, a soon-to-be Texas A&M graduate. Whether it was tailgating at Texans games or watching the Astros in the World Series with family, Carlos brought joy and energy to every moment.
More than anything, Carlos loved his children, Charli and Cayden. They were his pride, his purpose, and the lights of his life. His eyes lit up when he talked about them, and there was never a doubt about how proud he was to be their dad.
Carlos is survived by his children Charli and Cayden; his brother David and sister Linda; the mother of his children, Roxanne; his mother-in-love Rosa; his brother-in-love Oscar and sister-in-love Sandra (Patty); nieces Aziza and Crystal; nephews Michael, Mustapha, and Ozzy; and a large circle of extended family and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elsa and Armando Reyna.
Carlos was loving, generous, and yes, sometimes a little spicy and bossy—but it was all part of what made him so deeply loved and unforgettable. He fought bravely until the end, surrounded by love, and we are forever grateful to everyone who visited and supported him over the last several years.
