It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Robert Platt (Johnny) 1955 – 2022, son of John Charles Platt and Charlotte Marie Parr-Platt/Tompkins. He is survived by his sons, John and Michael Platt, granddaughter Emrys Platt, sisters

Vicki, Teresa, and Brenda, his nieces and nephew, Ashley, Katlyn, and Andrew, his cousins Alison, Scott,
Kim and Lisa, and the many cherished friends. He was a faithful friend and loving father.
John loved Alabama football and IU basketball.    
John was a natural athlete and sports, fishing, and golf were his passions but there was nothing he loved more than spending time with his sons.
A celebration of Life will be announced in due course.
