Phillip Valdez a resident in Houston, Texas, and beloved husband to
Sulema, passed away Monday morning, November 15, 2021. Born in Houston, Texas on May 23, 1959, Phillip was the beloved son to Ben Sr. and Gertrude Valdez.

Phillip married Sulema Valdez in 1979. During this union, they raised two children; Marcus & Kayla Knowles.

Phillip enjoyed fishing at Texas City Dikes and spending time with his family and friends. Phillip will go above and beyond to make everyone happy.

Phillip was a devoted husband, father, brother and friend. He gave generously his time, talents and selfless service to others. He was a jack of all trades. Phillip left a positive impact on the lives of many people. His enthusiasm and compassion earned him admiration and respect.

His parents, Ben Sr. and Gertrude Valdez, preceded him in death as well as three siblings: Yolanda Gonzalez, Johnny Valdez and Joe Valdez. In addition to one grandchild: Khalil Brooks.

Phillip leaves to cherish his memories: two children: Marcus and Kayla Knowles. One grandchild: Kamille Brooks.

Others who will cherish his memory include six siblings: Nelly DeAnda, Jesse Valdez, Alice Denson, Jose Luis Sepulvida Sr., Ben Valdez Jr. and Elizabeth Valdez- Luna and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.

The family has entrusted Leal Funeral Home with the arrangements. A Viewing & Rosary is scheduled for 11/22/2021; Viewing 4pm-7pm Rosary 7pm-9pm at Leal Funeral Home
