Antonia Espinoza

Antonia Espinoza, born on December 10, 1935, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.
Antonia was preceded in death by her parents Aristeo Lozano and Maria de Jesus Lozano, her son Danny Espinoza, her daughters Olga Espinoza and Gloria Edwards, and her granddaughter-in-law Carrie Edwards.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years Librado Espinoza, her beloved siblings Nino Lozano, Maria Tamez, Lupe Martinez, and Carmen Vasquez, her daughter Irma Bass and husband Mike Bass, daughter Cynthia Espinoza, son- in-law Orbie Edwards, grandson Eric Edwards, grandson Matthew Marin and wife Ashlee Marin, granddaughter Serena Carter and husband Patrick Carter, grandson Matthew Bass and wife Malarie Bass, granddaughter Kathryn Marin and Stuart Cobb, granddaughter Morgan Bass, grandson James Marin, and her great-grandchildren Colton Stanley, Caden Edwards, Emma Edwards, Evan Edwards, Mia Marin, Bryn Carter, Rita Bass, and Elliott Cobb. Antonia’s extended family stretches into half of Greater South Houston and Pasadena, all of whom we loved dearly.
Anyone who knew Antonia (Tonia) could attest that she was a woman of faith with a true servant’s heart. She had a quiet strength, but would not hesitate to tell you or her husband something that needed to be said. She was quick-witted but always kind, and continued to be a pillar of comfort for others despite all of the loss she experienced in her lifetime. She was a woman of generous hospitality, always making sure that anyone and everyone that was in her presence was well-fed and taken care of, until she turned off the lights! On many days, you could find her sunk into her hole in her couch watching her favorite show El Gordo y la Flaca. She may have kept her home more like a furnace because she was always cold, but we remember that as a reflection of the warmth of her heart. More than anything, the treasures in her heart were faith, family, friends, and fellowship. We will miss the matriarch of our family dearly, but take comfort in knowing she is at peace with our Lord in Heaven and reunited with the loved ones who have gone before her.
