It is with great sorrow, we announce the passing of Michael Ryan McCune on Monday, May 9, 2022, at the age of 30 in his home in Katy, TX.
Michael loved to spend time outside with nature and playing basketball but most importantly, he loved his family fiercely. He was a son to cherish, a kind brother, an uncle to remember and a person with a wonderous soul.
“Find out what makes you kinder, what opens you up and brings out the most loving, generous, and unafraid version of you—and go after those things as if nothing else matters. Because, actually, nothing else does.” – Nick Offerman
Mikey lived exactly like that. He would give the next person all the money he had on him if they looked like they needed it. He would give the shirt off his back & the shoes from his feet so a homeless person could be more comfortable. Always with a smile on his face he brightened every room he was in with his humor and his love to make everyone laugh. He would sit up with you all night in silence just so you weren’t alone. Michael loved so many and was loved by so many more. He was loved by everyone he met and if not he would tell you jokes until you couldn’t help but love him and laugh.
He has left the pain but he will continue to stay with us, even though we will never be the same again.
“Do not think of me as gone. I am with you still in each new dawn” – Native American Poem.
