La Sra. Bartola Rivas Lucio partió a su descanso eterno el 16 de Julio del año 2025 a la
1:21AM, en Houston TX.
La despiden toda su familia e hijos SanJuana “Juany” Rivera Lucio, Maria Victoria
“Vicky” Rivera de Morales, José Guadalupe “Pepe” Rivera Lucio, Cresenciano “Chris”
Rivas, Elizabeth “Betty” Rivas de Gil, y el finado Pedro Inez Pedraza Lucio siendo el
mayor de ellos.
Bartola nació en Camarón Nuevo León México el 24 de Agosto del año 1932. Estableció
su familia en Nuevo Laredo México de allí emigrando en los 60’s, para comenzar la
segunda etapa de su vida en la ciudad de Houston. “Tola” como le reconocían de
cariño trabajo en los restaurantes Luby’s por más de veinte años donde conoció a su
esposo Crecenciano “Chano” Rivas casados casi 45 años. En la ciudad de Houston
Texas, Tola conservo sus raíces formando una gran familia.
Bartola fue una persona que dio gran amor y dedicación, estableció unidad a su familia,
y transmitió tradición y usos y costumbres de sus raíces. Con sus seres queridos cada
unión familiar cocinaba variedad de platillos o comidas compartiendo en familia como
su famosa lasagna, gorditas, y los tamales. Y a quienes visitaban en estas reuniones
los recibía con el mismo cariño. Ella cantaba, bailaba, dando admiración y alegría a
quienes la escuchábamos. Tan es haci que en su lecho de muerte cantaba, Despedida
con Mariachi, expresando con su voz que sus hijos son su riqueza y que no lloren por
ella porque el luto se lleva en el alma.
Bartola fue madre, abuela, amiga, vecina y consejera en momentos difíciles, pero tal en
todo esto una mujer de gran fe. Aunque en tiempo de su enfermedad debilitante y
estando su corazón funcionando a poco porcentaje, ella compartió palabras que se
mantendrán para siempre en los corazones de sus nietos e hijos familia y vecinos
palabras de consejo, amor, agradecimiento y de despedida, pero no antes de dar la
bienvenida a su más recién nieto Javiercito.
Nuestro Padre celestial le permitió encontrar fuerza hasta el último respiro aquí en este
mundo, pero para entrar a la eternidad con su Señor Cristo Jesús.
“Hasta que nos volvamos a ver nosotros su familia, nos mantendremos como ella
siempre quiso, unidos y en familia, protegiéndonos, mirándonos unos a los otros, pero
manteniendo su recuerdo en nuestros corazones y dando gracias a Dios Padre todo
poderoso.”

I feel that something is missing within my day and my being… and is actually …a someone, …my Momma. I know that God will heal each one of us whom misses her,… our mom, mama', G-Ma, abuelita, abue, Tola, grandma, hermana, vecina, amiga. Our Lord is faithful to see us through and to be there for us.
