Cindy Marie Gims, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 57 on October 23, 2025.
Cindy was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Irene Simien and Curley Antoine, and was lovingly cared for by her stepfather, Joseph Guillory.
She attended Sulphur High School and later pursued studies at Lamar University, followed by additional training in the technology field, which resulted in her faithfully working in the oil and gas industry where she built lasting friendships and created many fond memories.
In her spare time, Cindy could often be found reading, crocheting, spending time with her children and grandchildren, traveling with her family, or enjoying game nights with her friends.
Cindy was deeply passionate about Jesus and devoted her life to ensuring that her children knew Him fully. She dedicated her heart and calling to raising godly children who, no matter what life brought, would always find themselves back at His feet.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Norther Gims; her father, Curley Antoine; her mother, Irene Simien; her stepfather, Joseph Guillory; and her brother, Randall Guillory.
Cherishing her memory are her sisters, Deborah Simien Foston and Elaine Guillory Tatum; her children, Jessica Anderson, Andrea Anderson, and Charles Anderson Jr.; and her grandchildren, Caden, Declan, and Finley Anderson.
Cindy will be greatly missed, but Heaven is now her home — and we will see her again soon.
