Anthony “Tony” Chiovitti

Anthony “Tony” Chiovitti passed away on October 4, 2023, at the age of 68, in Missouri City, Texas.

He was born to Michael and Gloria Chiovitti on June 29, 1955,in Ontario, Canada.

Some of Tony’s favorite things to do were spending time with his son, Nicholas, and playing golf with his brother, Rocco.

He had a strong work ethic that started at a young age with paper routes and caddying at local golf courses and continued throughout his life. Tony had a natural ability to excel in sports and loved to play hockey, golf and tennis.  He has played in tennis tournaments around the world.  He still played Men’s league tennis a few times a week and golf as often as possible.

Besides sports, he had a nice modeling and acting career as a young man in Canada which included small parts in movies, commercials, and catalog work as well as billboards across Canada.

Tony was a pilot for Air Canada and always had a love forflying and planes.  After taking an early retirement from the airlines, he moved to the U.S., stopping for a few years in Atlanta and then settling in Texas.

Tony is survived by his son, Nicholas Chiovitti; his mother, Gloria Stoyanoff; his father, Michael Chiovitti; his brother, Rocco Chiovitti and wife, Rida; his brother, Michael Chiovitti and wife, Kristen; nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends.

He was known as a “go-getter” with an optimistic attitude who reached for the stars with everything he did and will always be remembered as a devoted father as well as a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.  He will be missed but never forgotten.

    You were an amazing man, husband, father and friend. We enjoyed many good times with you and your family. We lost a good man on October 4th and you will always be missed. May your soul rest in peace with the Lord.

  2. I’ve been trying to reach Tony and just found out he passed. I’m so saddened, my love and condolences to his family. Tony was optimistic and a nice man. May his soul RIP..
