Ayo Beatrice Cummings

August 15, 1928- March 1,2024 

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”  Revelations 21:4. 

It is with deep and heartfelt sadness that we announce the transition of Mrs. Ayo Beatrice Cummings on Friday, March 1, 2024, in Houston, Texas.  She is survived by her daughters, Chaneta V. Cummings Lewis, Dr. Julia A. Cummings Weeks, son, Alexander B. Cummings (Teresa); grandchildren, Ayo Oneke, Cecil Benedict, Boikai Alexander (Lebo) and Tehana Fatima; Great grandchildren, Nyah Ann, Iviwe Wonkhemi, Zokaya Alakhe, and Onthatile Bendu; Sister, Mrs. Edna Taylor Lisborg, in Liberia and also several siblings in Senegal and France; as well as  several nieces, nephews and other relatives.  She is pre-deceased by her, husband Reverend Alexander Benedict Cummings, Sr. and daughter, Patricia D. Cummings.
