DeMarcus Daray Dickey was born on May 21, 1991, in Houston, Texas, to Lashonda Rogers and Alton Dickey.

DeMarcus was full of life, always optimistic, and carried a bright spirit that touched everyone who knew him. He had a deep love for learning and could often be found reading—especially his Bible, which guided his faith and outlook on life. He grew up attending Lakewood Church, where his love for God took root and continued to grow throughout his life.

DeMarcus was a creative soul who loved to draw, write poems, and reflect on the world around him. His love for peace and beauty led him to Galveston & San Antonio, where he enjoyed quiet beach views and time for reflection.

Due to the recent circumstances surrounding his passing, the family only recently received confirmation and has taken time to prepare this celebration of his life with love and care.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Sally W

He leaves behind his loving mother: Lashonda Rogers, father: Alton Dickey, stepfather, Terrell stepmother, Lamika , grandmothers: Geraldine & Jatana  grandfather: Darcy Sr & Jerrell

siblings: Zaakirah, Jameelah, Frederick, Alton jr, Amani, Xavier, & Brianna

uncles: George, Raven, Darcy, Kenneth, Rodrick & Jerrell Jr.

aunts: Krissy, Kim,Chandra & Keisha great-aunts, Shirley & Stacy E, along with a host of cousins & friends who will cherish his memory forever.

DeMarcus will always be remembered for his gentle heart, bright smile, and unwavering faith. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit remains a light to those who loved him.
