Felix Tapawan Camanag

Felix Tapawan Camanag joined his Creator on October 7, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving family at Memorial Hermann Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Born on March 18, 1939 in Cavite, Philippines, to Hilario Camanag and Agatona Tapawan, he led a life filled with love and adventure.

Felix is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Elisa, and their three daughters, Tricia, Penelope, and Felisa. His legacy lives on through his son-in-laws, Fred and Brandon, and his five grandsons, Aedrick, Edzel, Gavriel, Ian, and Ivan. He also leaves behind future granddaughters-in-law, Jennifer and Anicia.

Felix’s passion for exploring the world with Elisa was matched only by his love for family gatherings, cheering for the Astros, trying new restaurants, and singing his heart out in karaoke. To those who knew him, he was the best husband and father, always ready to offer support, wisdom, and a listening ear.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Felix’s life at a viewing on October 11, 2024, from 4-8pm at Leal Funeral Home, Katy Fwy Houston, TX 77079. Donations and flowers are welcomed.
