Manuela Ramirez

Mrs. Manuela Ramirez, age 94, of San Antonio Texas, left her earthly home for her eternal home on Tuesday morning, July 28, 2020.  She was born on January 15, 1926, in the Rio Grande Valley to Manuel Trevino and Isidra Salas Trevino.

Manuela (Mary) was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Nicolas Trevino & Raul Trevino, sisters Laura Trevino Escamilla & Delia Trevino Alanis, and her grandson Richard Martin Canales.

She is survived by her husband Rufino Ramirez of fifty-one years, her daughter Maria Olga Orihuela from Houston Texas, Her son Daniel (Rose) Nunez of San Antonio Texas, Grandchildren Michelle Renee DelaCruz, Teresa Denise Canales, Christopher (Jessica) Nunez, Rebekah (Christopher) Garcia, John Jay (Celeste) DelaRosa,  Roselynn Graham, Great-grandchildren Melissa Ann (Robert) Garcia, Anissa Diame DelaCruz, Nathan Alexander DelaCruz, Christopher Nunez, Caroline Nunez, Zara Garcia, Olivia DelaRosa, Andrew Delarosa, and David DelaRosaLegacy Graham and Roth Graham, Great-great granddaughter Aryel Lynn Garcia.

She lived in Brownsville Texas for over twenty years where she volunteered with the KIWANIS Club and Charro Days for the City of Brownsville.  She retired from the Brownsville Independent School District with many employee recognitions.  She relocated to Houston Texas where she and her husband opened their funeral home.  She ran a successful business for many years until she retired for the second time.

She opened her home to her family and cared for us unconditionally. Our grandmother was a strong, determined, and fiercely independent woman. We will miss her every day.
