It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marcelo Federico Cavazos Torres, our beloved brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many.  Marcelo passed away on March 22, 2024 at the age of 64.  He was born on January 16, 1960 in Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon to Lucas Cavazos and Federica Torres, who precede him in death.
Marcelo is survived by 11 siblings: Margarito, Maria Gregoria, Rogelio, Lidia, Silvia, Lucia, Juan Mario, Maria Leticia, Eloy, Beatriz Elena and Adrian; his 3 children: Maria Elizabeth, Irene Zoraida and Marcelo; and 9 grandchildren: Javier, Gisselle, Daniel, Aaron, Damian, October, Elizabeth, Nikolai and Malakai.  During his childhood and adolescence, Marcelo lived in Cerralvo and Monterrey then embarked his adult life in Houston, Texas where he married Irene Marroquin and formed a family.
He was a trucker by trade, as witty as they come, and always willing to lend a helping hand.  Per our father’s wish, his remains will be taken to his native and beloved Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon with prior funeral services to be held at Leal Funeral Home, 708 College Ave, South Houston, Texas, on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 between the hours of 4:00-8:00pm.  The Cavazos Torres and Cavazos Marroquin family gives its sincerest thanks for the outpour of love and condolences received during this difficult time.  Without a doubt, Marcelo will be dearly remembered and immensely missed.
