Raul Gonzalez

Raul Gonzalez Jr., also known as Chico to his friends and family, gracefully entered into the kingdom of heaven on August 10, 2023. Chico was born on July 30, 1966 to Raul and Ninfa Gonzalez. He is remembered by his mother, five bothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and countless friends he considered family. He is preceded in death by his father Raul Gonzalez.

Chico loved nothing more than dancing to his favorite bands or having a concoction or two in the front yard. He was always a phone call away to anyone who needed him and his house was like his heart, always open to anyone. Chico never left the house without a hair out of place, “You never know who you are gonna meet” he would say.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will remain etched in our hearts forever.

Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, but remember me and every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles, I’ve only gone on to dance without you for a little while.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 19, 2023 from 4-9pm

Leal Funeral Home, Katy location

When Chico would walk into my insurance agency, the office would glow and become so electrified with his presence. When he left the office, his smile and goodness seemed to remain with us. He was so caring for his family members and friends. Among his brothers, he appeared to be the glue always ready to step in as needed. Your smile and genuine goodness will be missed Chico, but not forgotten! Now you may Rest in Peace! Amén

  3. It is very hard to believe you are gone, Raul. Our 30 year friendship went by like a flash. No matter how long we went without chatting, we always seemed to pick up where we left off. Rest my friend, until we see each other again. Cheers to you and your beautiful smile!
