Thomas Spivey

 

Thomas Reginald Spivey “ Papa T” 69, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother went home to be with our Lord and Savior on August 17, 2022. Tommy as he was affectionately called, was born July 2, 1953, in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Regan High School in 1972 and later went on to get his associate degree at the Rice Aviation A and P school in 1989. He worked at Continental Airlines and later went on to work in auto sales. 

 

Tommy had a great sense of humor and loved to tell stories. He was a kind and generous person always willing to help others. His hobbies included bowling, poker, fishing, and rebuilding motorcycles. Preceded in death by his father Reginald L. Spivey and mother Oleta Copeland Spivey, he is survived by his wife of 47 years Elizabeth Spivey, daughter Regina Spivey Aguilar and son-in-law Hugo Aguilar, daughter Jessi Lazar, daughter Laishanna Bledsoe, son Christopher Spivey, son Kevin Spivey and daughter in law Marlen Spivey. He is also survived by his sister Doris Phillips, brother William Waters and sister-in-law Debbie Waters, brother Charles Spivey and sister-in-law Cynthia Spivey as well as 9 grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

 
A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM to 10:55 AM
with a Celebration of Life following at 11:00 AM
on August 23, 2022
at
Houston First Baptist Church-The Loop 7401 Katy Fwy. Houston, Texas 77024.
