Victoria Olvera

Victoria Sanchez Olvera, lovingly known as “Vickie” to her family and friends, of Houston, Texas, passed away leaving a deep void in the hearts of all who knew her. She was born on September 5, 1952, to Victor Sanchez Sr. and Jesusa Vela.

Vickie was known for her personality, strong energy, and genuine spirit. She always lit up the room with her great smile and wonderful sense of humor. Having the privilege of knowing her was a true blessing.

Above all, Vickie was a devoted woman. She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Raymond Olvera Sr. She is also survived by her children, Virginia, Raymond Jr., Veronica, and Sesario, who were her greatest pride and joy. She was further blessed with ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Her surviving siblings are Armando, Hortencia, Terry, David, Eloisa, Antonio Jr., and Rosa, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father, Victor; her mother, Jesusa; her stepfather, Antonio Sr.; her five brothers, Manuel Sr., Joe, Michael, David, and Robert; and her three sisters, Mary Jane, Carmela, and Alice (affectionately known as “Mama Licha”).

The Olvera family would like to thank each and every one of you for your generosity in providing food, drinks, and desserts. We are deeply grateful for your kindness, blessings, and prayers.

Thank you again, The Olvera Family
