A Resolution in Loving Memory of
Donald Sanders
Saturday, September 12, 2026
To: Deacon Morgan Sanders Sr. and Family
We deem it proper to present the Resolution and with it commend you to the One who is “… the Father of all mercies and God of all comfort” (2Cor. 1:3b). For He offers His assurance to you with these words from Matthew 5:4 — “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” God’s love and care is unending; His grace is sufficient; His love is the anchor that holds us through such uncertain times, and the stronghold that keeps us in His caring embrace.
Deacon Morgan and family, we pray that “… the peace that surpasses all understanding” be with you through the memories, the tears, the loneliness, and sorrow. As you experience the pain of the absence of your beloved, Donald Sanders, we also ask Our Heavenly Father to “… grant you according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being” (ESV Eph. 3:16). Our Lord and Savior, also seeks to encourage you with two commands and five promises from Isaiah 41:10 – “Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
While your love one was dear to his family, the Psalmist reminds us that he was also dear to our God as expressed in NIV Psalms 116:15, “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his faithful servants.” As you continue in bereavement, we pray that you may not grieve as those who have no hope, but instead as those who believe that Jesus died and rose again. For, “Whoever believes in “Jesus,” although that believer may die, yet shall “the believer in Jesus” live… and always be with the Lord.” Therefore, be encouraged, knowing that your beloved’s future is secure and you will see him again. We further resolve that we the Pastors, Elders, Deacons and Deaconesses, and members, of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church extend to you and your family our deep and sincere condolences and we will give you our complete personal, and spiritual, support during your time of bereavement.
Joyfully and prayerfully submitted by the Pastors, Elders, Deacons and Deaconesses, Comfort & Care Ministry, and members of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship.
