Juan Alfonso Janser was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend — but above all, he was a devoted man of God. A man of unwavering faith who carried the light of Jesus everywhere he went and shared God’s word with everyone he met.

Juan Alfonso Janser passing came suddenly, on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, while he was working out of town. His wife, Carmen, spoke to him that morning, and about two hours later, the family received a call saying that Juan Alfonso Janser had gone to be with the Lord. It was and still is a complete shock to those who knew him.

Juan Alfonso Janser, born on March 18, 1969, in La Ceiba, Honduras, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and unwavering dedication to his family. From a young age, Alfonso dreamed of exploring the world, and that dream led him to the United States, where he sought opportunity, adventure, and a better life.

Alfonso had a deep love for travel, especially across the United States. In his early years, he worked as a painter, developing skills that reflected his strong work ethic and determination. Eventually, he fulfilled one of his greatest childhood dreams—becoming an 18‑wheeler driver. What began as a boyhood fascination with toy cars grew into a lifelong passion for the open road. Alfonso embraced every mile, every conversation, and every new face he met along the way.

Yet, above all his accomplishments, Alfonso’s greatest pride and joy was his family. Together with his beloved wife, Carmen, built a home filled with love, faith, and purpose. Their daughters, Stephanie and Astrid, were the center of his world. Alfonso worked tirelessly to give them opportunities he never had, especially the gift of education. Though Alfonso did not have the chance to pursue higher education, he lived to see his dreams realized through his daughters—Stephanie, who is earning her PhD after completing her Bachelor’s degree and MBA, and Astrid, who is well on her way through her Bachelor’s program.

Faith was the foundation of Alfonso’s life. He carried a deep devotion to God, our Lord and Savior, and shared that faith openly and joyfully with others. Whether on the road or in his community, Alfonso spoke to people not only to connect, but to uplift, encourage, and remind them of God’s love. Through his kindness and sincerity, he touched countless lives.

Juan Alfonso Janser will be remembered for his generous spirit, his love of adventure, his devotion to his family, and his steadfast faith. His impact lives on in the hearts of all who knew him, and in the lives of his daughters and wife, who carry forward his dreams, his values, and his love.
