Roberto Medina

With deep sorrow and abiding love, we announce the passing of Roberto Medina, who entered eternal
rest on December 27, 2025, at the age of 68.
Roberto was the beloved son of the late Jose and Hilda Medina and a proud United States Navy veteran,
having served his country with honor, dedication, and integrity. His military service was a profound
source of pride for both his family and all who knew him.
He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished grandfather, and a caring son and brother.
Family was the center of Roberto’s life. He was known for his strength, kindness, wisdom, and
unwavering support for those he loved. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and guidance, and his
legacy will live on through the values he instilled in his family.
Roberto is survived by his beloved wife, Veronica Cortez Medina; his children, Gonzalo Cavazos Medina
(Karen), Bianca Medina Garcia (Isaac), and Maximiliano Medina (Natalie); and his stepchildren Amanda
Garza Juarez (Javier), Abigail Garza, Adrian Garza, Angela Garza and Aaden Garza, whom he loved dearly
as his own. He also leaves behind his treasured grandchildren, Celeste Cavazos, Christian Cavazos, Mia
Ruiz, Naomi Garcia, and Juliette Medina and step grandchildren Ariana Juarez and Jahsai Bryson.
He is further survived by his siblings, Reinaldo Medina, Hector Medina, Eneida Mendez (Louie), Lourdes
Medina, Lucy Yanchowsky (David), and Ruben Medina, along with many extended family members and
dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 7:00
PM at

Leal Funeral Home,

Military honors will be rendered in
recognition of his faithful service to our nation.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered prayers, love, and support during
