Sheryl (Sherry) Kay Lyons

Sheryl (Sherry) Kay Lyons, age 84, passed peacefully on July 6, 2026, in Katy, Texas. Born July 28, 1941, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Sherry was the beloved daughter of Karl and Ruth Luhm. Her life was one filled with laughter, generosity, and a deep love for family, friends, and community.

Sherry’s survived by her three children and their spouses: Scott Lyons (Tracy Lyons), Sue Reynolds (Steven Reynolds), and Steven Lyons (Crystal Lyons). She also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life: Taylor Lyons, Emily Reynolds, Waylon Lyons, and Donovan Lyons.

Throughout her life, Sherry lived in Oshkosh, WI; Honolulu, HI; San Diego, CA; and Katy, TX, she collected friendship and memories wherever she went. She loved cooking for those she cared about, playing bingo with friends, and spending countless hours working through word search puzzles. Sherry loved being surrounded by family and friends, sharing stories, creating laughter, and brightening every room she entered.

She was a proud and dedicated member of the BPOE Elks for 14 years; Sherry embraced every opportunity to give back. Her heart was especially drawn to children, she delighted in giving gifts, sharing smiles, and making every holiday feel magical. In honor of her giving spirit, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Katy Elks Lodge Christmas Families Program, ensuring Sherry’s legacy of generosity continues by providing Christmas gifts to children in need. Sherry’s life was a testament to kindness, humor, and unwavering love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
