Glen Jackson

Glen Arthur Jackson was born to Willie and Annie Jackson on November 16, 1956. Glen completed his education in the Aldine Independent School District. Graduating from Carver High School May 1977. Glen accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was Baptized at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church by the Late Pastor D.S. Bailey.

Glen was a gentle giant with a heart of gold to his family and the community. He never met a stranger; they were all his fellow friends. Glen had several occupations that brought him pleasure. From Truck Driving Interstate Transport, Tree Service, Hunting, and his most recent passion was Bar B Q Catering, and people would come from all over the community and miles around would contact him to taste the spin on his Bar B Q. Despite health challenges Glen was not deterred from doing any of the jobs he loved to do. For example, this past Christmas Glen smoked over 280 turkeys and still people were calling for more.

Over the years Glen had a circle of special friends that helped him along the way Zonnie Johnson, Charles Williams, Michael Jackson, John Conway, Whitney Lastrap, Johnny Williams Sr. The Family would like to publicly thank you for all you have done for Glen and still doing today.

Glen is proceeded in death by his parents Willie Jackson and Annie Jackson Harrison.

Glen leaves to mourn his daughter Adrienne Smith, 2 grandchildren Jasmine Thomas and B.J. Hyder, his Stepmother Clara Jackson, 3 brothers Donnie Taylor, Tommy Taylor and Wendell Jackson (Dierdrea), 5 sisters Shirley Fowler, Beverly Bennett, Brenda Marks (Melvin), Debra Jackson, Germaine Hester (David) and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and a community of friends.

Visitation Friday, 5-8:00 PM and Saturday, 9:30-10:30 AM at the Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 111 W. Little York Drive.  Private Funeral begins at 11:00 AM at the church.  Pastor Jerry Wade, Officiating.  Interment-Paradise North Cemetery.
