Juan Acosta III “Johnny” was born on April 13, 2003, in Houston, Texas, to Juan Acosta Jr. and Lorena Martinez. He was raised in Houston, a city he was incredibly proud to call home. His love for Houston sports ran deep, and he proudly supported the Houston Astros, Houston Rockets, and Houston Texans.
Johnny graduated from C.E. King High School in 2022 and went on to join the workforce, beginning the next chapter of his life.
Johnny is survived by his father, Juan Acosta Jr. (wife, Fylesha Acosta), and his mother, Lorena Martinez (husband, Anthony Martinez); his four younger siblings, sisters Sandra Marie Acosta, Alaina Martinez, and Monica Martinez, and brother Juan Andres Acosta.
He is also survived by his beloved nephew, Nyyear Jaxon Acosta Brown; his grandparents, Sandra R. and Carlos M. Garcia, Jesus Avitia, and Maria; uncles Carlos Garcia Jr. (wife, Loralinda Garcia), Dr. Ildebrando Eloy Garcia (husband, Richard Albertini), Trinidad Garcia, and Jesse Avitia; aunts Monica Cavazos (husband, Alfredo Cavazos), Veronica Murillo (husband, Genaro Murillo), Imelda Nava, and Raina; as well as many loving cousins and extended family members.
Johnny loved the Lord and carried a strong faith throughout his life. He found joy in the simple things fishing, spending time with his friends and family, listening to his favorite music, watching sports, and enjoying a great home-cooked meal.
Above all, Johnny was known for his big heart, loving nature, and caring spirit. He cherished every moment he spent with his family and created countless memories that will forever be treasured.
Those who knew Johnny best will always remember his generosity, warmth, and steady presence. He had a special way of making an impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His silly and goofy personality brought laughter and joy to those around him, creating moments that will be remembered for years to come.
Johnny will be deeply missed by all who loved him. Though he is no longer with us, his love, laughter, kindness, and the memories we shared with him will live on in our hearts forever.
Until we meet again, Johnny boy. You will always be loved, always be remembered, and forever be a part of us.
