Winnie Zelina Lizarraga Camero

Our beloved Winnie Zelina Lizarraga Camero fought valiantly against the disease of pulmonary fibrosis in which at 7:45 am on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 her battle finally came to a conclusion. Her persistence for her family and her faith was foremost what we will treasure most about her life. Her unwillingness to give up no matter how small the obstacles. It is engrained in our memories of how fiercely she loved and cared for others a true and virtuous woman who left a legacy for her children and an example to all.

She is survived by her husband Daryl John Camero, her high school sweetheart and loving children, Imani Lucero Camero, Serjio Nikolas Camero, Solomon Seth Camero and Liani Theresa Camero.

She is also survived by her mother, Magdalena Lizarraga and her siblings Cruzita Lizarraga (Maria), Arturo Lizarraga, Manolo Lizarraga (Ada), Amir Lizarraga (Kelli), Melissa Lizarraga, niece/ little sister Jazmin Lizarraga Nguyen (Roni), brother in law Brian Joe Camero (Tina) and sister in law Jennifer Camero. She also leaves behind 23 nieces and nephews who love her dearly. She joins her late father Francisco Adolfo Lizarraga and her mother in law Maria Luiza Camero in heaven.

She was a devoted Christian and was a constant example of christian stewardships at Houston Faith Church. A loving teacher and care giver and humbly carried the mantle of a leader.

Words can not convey how much she will be missed. We pray and give thanks for all the years she shared with us. She showed us how to live and fight for the values she held dear in her heart.
She leaves behind a better world, because she was willing to share and give unconditionally.

Come and join friends and family

"At three o'clock in the morning, when my grandmother passed, they answered the phone and came immediately to bring her into their care. That alone meant more to us than they'll ever know. They treated us with compassion, patience, and respect — no pressure, no coldness, just genuine care."
— Daniel Rodriguez
