Ascension Camacho Garcia


Ascension Camacho Garcia, better known  as “Kino” to many, was a kind- hearted and gentle soul, reunited with his mother, father and siblings in  Heaven on January 1st, 2024, at the age of 74.  Ascension was born in Moorhead Minnesota to Victoriano Silva Garcia and Domitila Camacho Garcia. 

Kino lived a fulfilling life, surrounded by a loving family. He  respectfully served the United States Army and attended San Jacinto College. Kino later pursued a lifelong career at HL&P (CenterPoint) as Head Material Handler Purchasing and Logistics.  Kino enjoyed spending time with family, such as taking his nieces and nephews to the movies. Everyone that knew him knew his greatest passion was collecting treasures and working outdoors, fixing cars. Kino always welcomed everyone with a big smile, warm hug, or friendly handshake. His kind spirit and laughter will always be remembered! 

Ascension “Kino” Garcia, fought with courage and grace until the end and will be remembered by his unwavering optimism and resilience, which inspired those around him. Though he may be gone, his memory will live on in the countless lives he touched.

Kino is preceded in death by his parents, Victoriano Silva Garcia and Domitila Camacho Garcia. Sister Jesusita Camacho Garcia, brothers, Jose Camacho Garcia, Domingo Camacho Garcia, Victor Camacho Garcia and Pedro Camacho Garcia.

He is survived by his Nephews,  Nieces and cousins.

Ascension Camacho García, mejor conocido como “Kino” para muchos, era un alma amable y de buen corazón, se reunió con su madre, su padre y sus hermanos en el cielo el 1 de enero de 2024, a la edad de 74 años. Ascension nació en Moorhead Minnesota, sus padres Victoriano Silva García y Domitila Camacho García.

Kino vivió una vida plena, rodeado de una familia amorosa. Sirvió respetuosamente al ejército de los Estados Unidos y asistió al San Jacinto College. Más tarde, Kino siguió una carrera de toda la vida en HL&P (CenterPoint) como jefe de compras y logística de materiales. Kino disfrutaba pasar tiempo con la familia, como llevar a sus sobrinos y sobrinas al cine. Todos los que lo conocieron sabían que su mayor pasión era coleccionar tesoros y trabajar al aire libre, arreglando autos. Kino siempre recibía a todos con una gran sonrisa, abrazo o un amistoso apretón de manos. ¡Su espíritu amable y su risa siempre serán recordados!

Ascensión “Kino” García, luchó con valentía y gracia hasta el final y será recordado por su inquebrantable optimismo y resiliencia, que inspiraron a quienes lo rodeaban. Aunque ya no esté, su recuerdo vivirá en las innumerables vidas que tocó.
