Amalia Hernandez Moya

Amalia Hernandez Moya went to be with our Lord on April 29, 2026, she was the daughter of Nemecio Hernandez and Maria de Los Angeles de la Pena. 

Amalia was born on December 23, 1939 in La Mesa de las Tablas Coahuila, Mexico. She moved to Houston, Texas where she met the love of her life, Antonio Moya and lived the rest of her days with him. They only had one daughter, Antoinette Vasquez.  Amalia was the last survivor of her brothers and sisters, and was preceded in death by her grandson Anthony Alexander Perla. 

Amalia is survived by her husband, daughter and granddaughters, Marian Granados (Michael) and Yosselin Perla. As well as her son in law Gabriel Vasquez and his children Gabriel A. Vasquez (Elizabeth)  Jared Vasquez (Joanna) and Isabella Vasquez, and a large group of family and friends who loved her very much. 

Amalia loved to cook and watch Spanish soap operas. In her youth she was a cosmetologist and she was always an excellent housekeeper. Amalia loved to spend time with her family and friends who are going to miss her tremendously. 

Her wake will be held at Leal Funeral Home,

St. Theresa Catholic Church

Amalia Hernandez Moya falleció el 29 de Abril 2026, fue hija de Nemecio Hernández y María de Los Ángeles de la Peña. Nació el 23 de Diciembre 1939 en La Mesa de las Tablas Coahuila, México. Se mudó a Houston, Texas donde conoció al amor de su vida Antonio Moya y vivió el resto de sus días con el. Ellos solamente tuvieron una hija, Antoinette Vasquez. Amalia fue la última sobreviviente de sus hermanos y hermanas y la precidio en la muerte su nieto Anthony Alexander Perla. 

La sobrevive su esposo, hija y sus nietas Marian Granados (Michael) y Yosselin Perla. También su yerno, Gabriel Vasquez y sus hijos Gabriel A. Vasquez (Elizabeth) Jared Vasquez (Joanna) y Isabella Vasquez, además de un grupo extenso de familiares y amigos que siempre la llevarán en su corazón. 

Amalia le encantaba cocinar y ver novelas. En su juventud fue cosmetologa y siempre fue una excelente ama de casa. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia y sus amistades que la van a extrañar mucho. 

Su velorio será en la funeraria Leal
